La Casona was built between 1585 and 1700, and is one of the finest remaining examples of a Spanish colonial mansion in the city of Cusco. After various remodelings over the centuries, La Casona now offers a unique combination of styles which has led the house to be officially designated as a historic monument by the National Institute of Culture. The rooms are dispatched around a central courtyard and the building itself features gorgeous stone foundations and archways, rich dark wood trimmings, polished wooden and tiled floors, and colorful murals.

Great care has been taken to decorate the interior quarters of this Cusco hotel while keeping its original architectural detail and style.
