Brazil Travel Deal: Winter Sun

You will be collected from the airport and take a transfer to your comfortable Florianopolis hotel, with the rest of the day to enjoy the hotel facilities, explore the town or visit the glorious beach and make the most of the beautiful weather.

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll depart on a half-day city tour of Florianopolis beginning at the historical center. Here you’ll find the remarkable Metropolitan Cathedral, built in 1753, sitting grandly on the high end of the street. Continuing the tour to the public market, you’ll get a flavor for local gastronomy, the Portuguese influence setting it apart from other Latin American countries. You’ll visit the artisan market which offers a stunning panoramic view of Florianopolis and the Brazilian mainland. Making your way to the lagoon, Lagoa de Conceição, famous for its shrimp cuisine, the tour ends on Joaquina Beach, surrounded by large beautiful sand dunes.

This is a wonderful jumping off point if you are interested in spending the rest of your day out on the water, skiing or cruising on the decks, or relaxing on the beach watching the surfers. There is no lack of fun activities to fill up the remainder of your day in Florianopolis.

This morning you will enjoy a full-day schooner tour through the Ratones Islands that also includes a passage under the Hercilio Luz bridge, a panoramic sightsee through North Bay, a stop at the island of Anhatomirim to visit a 18th century fortress and a visit to the Dolphins Bay.

Spend the fourth day of your Brazil vacation at your own pace. With so many activities at your doorstep there is something for everyone. Popular outdoor sports include: diving, hang gliding, paragliding, mountain-biking and surfing. To satisfy cultural interests, you may like to tour the museums displaying artefacts from indigenous cultures of Brazil’s north coast or colonial antiquities. For more tranquil experiences you can take a walk along the Beira Mar Norte, stretching along the southern coast of the bay, enjoying spectacular views and a delightful breeze off the sea. Of course, you can always stretch out under the Brazilian sun on one of the majestic beaches enjoying the peace and the sound of waves breaking on the shore.

After breakfast, you will transfer back to the airport for your journey home or the next location on your Brazil vacation.
