Dear Richard,
We are back in Malta! We would like to thank you and your team for a most enjoyable vacation. We had a great vacation and I will certainly recommend Argentina For Less to those who would like a stress free holiday in South America.
Oliver,
With its year round tropical weather, beautiful beaches, and fascinating past, Recife is among our favorite Brazil destinations. Known as the Venice of Brazil thanks to its myriads canals and rivers, this enchanting town boasts a colorful past and breathtaking scenery.
Formerly a major trade center under the Portugal Empire, Recife was conquered and occupied for over 25 years by the Dutch, who tried to appropriate the region’s very lucrative sugar production. This fantastic colonial city has now turned into a modern metropolis with over 1.5 million inhabitants, but has managed to retain its authenticity and charm, particularly noticeable in its rich culture.
This exciting tour will also take you to Olinda, sister city of Recife located only 6 miles (10 kilometers) away. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Brazil’s best preserved colonial sites. With its winding streets, and colonial buildings and churches resting on a hill overlooking the magnificent bay, Olinda is a treasure trove of architecture and history.
