Straddling the Argentina-Brazil border, the Iguazu Falls are a force of nature. Iguazu means "big waters" in Guarani, the regional indigenous language. And with over 61,600 cubic feet per second of water gushing over the basalt rock base, this impressive waterfall system deserved its name. It is one the largest and most powerful water systems in the world, containing some 275 waterfalls, a few over 250 feet tall. At the Garganta do Diabo, or Devil’s Throat, water plunges over a 490 by 2,300-foot U-shaped cataract, a spectacular sight that creates a permanent cloud of mist nearly 100 feet high.
The areas surrounding the falls are impressive as well. This lush, tropical region makes for some of the most beautiful parks and vistas in South America. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, the falls and surrounding grounds have been preserved in two national parks, one in Brazil and one in Argentina. Day 1 : Arrival to Iguazu & Iguazu Falls Tour - Brazilian Side
- Upon arrival to the Brazilian city of Foz de Iguazu, a Brazil For Less representative will meet you and take you to your confirmed Foz de Iguazu hotel.
- In the afternoon, you’ll meet your English-speaking guide for a half-day tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls.
- You will drive to the Iguaçu National Park (on the Brazilian side), which covers 457,145 acres (185,000 hectares) of lush subtropical forest. There, you’ll take a 45-minute hike along the walkway that borders the canyon of the Iguazu River, where you can enjoy fantastic panoramic views of this incredible waterfall system that reaches 266 feet high (81 meters). You’ll also have a great full view of the famous falls called Devil’s Throat.

Day 2 : Iguazu Falls Tour - Argentine Side
- Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing for a half-day tour of the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. You’ll pass the Iguazu River and travel to Iguazu National Park (the park on the Argentine side), where you will be able to walk along some of the many trails. From this side, you’ll enjoy a much closer and more intimate experience with the majestic falls.

Argentinean Side of the Falls
During this tour you will pass the Iguazu River, to Argentina’s Iguazu National Park. Trails through the 55,500 hectare reserve provide a different, complete view of the falls, especially the biggest one, the Devil's Throat. Lower and upper walkways permit a closer look at the waterfalls.

Great Adventure Safari Cruise
On the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, take the Great Adventure Safari Cruise, an exciting ride in a decommissioned military vehicle through the jungle and to the river. The ‘open’ back truck makes for a great vantage point to see the many parakeets, parrots, macaws, toucans, lizards, monkeys. You will visit the roaring Macuco waterfall and then go by boat up the canyon to see the waterfall’s canyon.
